Welcome House #3 Open for Business

Over the past month the LEAP team along with incredible community members worked tirelessly to transform the first Bench Condo into a comfortable and beautiful Welcome House. LEAP is leasing to own 3 condos in this complex and this is the first one to be transitioned into a Welcome House. The Boise community has been so incredibly generous making this unit into a home from donated furniture and homegoods to donated granite counters to be installed in the bathrooms. Thank you!!

Bench Condo Welcome House

Last week we celebrated this unit with a housewarming party and the Boise community joined us in the festivity. It has been such a joy to spend so much time at this property and to get to know the neighbors. One girl nextdoor is looking forward to the first family moving in so that she can invite them to her 6th birthday party. We hope that this Welcome House does not only benefit the guests but also the neighbors and larger community.

There are still a few items that we would love to have to finish off this home. If you are interested in donating, feel free to drop off any items at our office between 9-5 at 1220 S Vista Ave or donate online and let us know it is for the Bench Condo. Some items we are still looking for are:
  • Ceiling Fan
  • 9x13 baking dishes
  • 63" curtains (2 panels)
  • Full & twin size comforter/quilts
  • Bathroom trash cans
  • Digital alarm clock
  • Ice cube trays
  • Broom with dust pan

Yes You Can Success!

LEAP launched the Yes You Can homebuyer program in October 2017. Currently there are 20 clients active in program and 5 have successfully purchased homes. We enjoyed celebrating with another wonderful family this week!
